Celebrating 10 Years of our Educator, Helena

In May, we celebrated 10 wonderful years of our educator, Helena!

Throughout her time with us at Parkside Community Childcare, Helena’s joyful personality and infectious enthusiasm has helped to create an incredibly nurturing, fun and safe environment for the children.

When we asked Helena what’s one of her favourite parts of the role, she shared:

“Education - and empowering children to thrive - has long been a passion of Helena’s. Prior to calling Parkside Community home in 2015, Helena worked as a Primary School Teacher in China for 15 years, and was also an Ethics School Teaching Supervisor for 14 years.”

The Invaluable Role of Long-Standing Educators

At Parkside Community Childcare, we’re incredibly grateful for our dedicated and caring team of educators - and are proud that many have been with us for over five years… or even 10 years (like Helena)!

This kind of team stability isn’t just a happy coincidence, it’s something we value deeply, because we know the meaningful difference it makes to the children and families in our care:

Builds stronger bonds & relationships, allowing our little learners to feel safe and secure. Yep! Seeing those same friendly smiles each morning is crucial for a child’s sense of security and belonging.
Provides a greater level of personalised care and support. With their cumulative years’ of shared experience, our educators gain a deeper understanding of each child’s unique needs, routines and interests.
Creates a positive family-friendly environment for drop offs and pick ups. From siblings to grandparents to extended family - many of our educators get to know each child’s ‘village’ - all of who add to our community feel.
Allows educational programs to be built upon and continually improved, based on the wealth of knowledge that our long-standing educators bring.
